Cleaver brings a unique twist on modern Irish food in a wonderful newly designed dining space offering inventive, delicious, locally sourced food. The Octagon Bar is at the heart of the hotel, a beautiful room situated in the exact same space as the original hotel bar, and with an octagon shaped dome rising high above the central bar. Additionally, the Back Bar boasts many original features including the stunning Art Deco floor, the windows and the original hotel clock that sits proudly over the open fireplace.\n\nExterior\nThis is a traditional building built in 1852. Bought in 1992 by two members of the famous rock band U2 (Bono and The Edge), the hotel underwent a complete restoration and refurbishment program and was been transformed into a luxury hotel.\n\nLobby\nThe lobby of the hotel is small and maintains many of the property's original features such as stone floors and wood panels. Adjoining the lobby there is a study room with extensive seating area, arts-and-crafts style windows with original glass and oak panelling giving the room a warm feel.
