*.* The new abba San Sebastián hotel is on the Paseo de Francia alongside the River Urumea and is less than 200 metres from the city centre. It is housed in the old Palacio de Vastameroli, built in 1937 for an aristocratic family to designs by Eduardo Lagarde. It is a palace in true early seventeenth century Baroque style. Its outstandingly beautiful and elegant façade is now a protected heritage asset. The renovated interior contains 44 fabulous rooms of varying size and type, decorated in a classical yet contemporary style which marries perfectly with the building and with the city.
